چکیده
Background/Aim. Insufficient bone thickness (thickness less than 2 mm) frequently leads to fenestration and dehiscence, leading additional resorption. Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is becoming a priority in the diagnosis of needed for implant placement. It has proven be an accurate largely reliable diagnostic tool image morphology buccal wall thickness. The aim this study was measure vestibular anterior maxillary region Serbian population compare difference between men women, left right sides jaw. Methods. CBCT images 68 patients were examined from existing database. length cemento-enamel junction beginning alveolar measured, followed by at various clinically relevant locations. Results. data statistically processed, analyzing total 373 teeth frontal upper jaw, including 128 central incisors, 124 lateral incisors 121 canines. analysis showed that more 88% cases 1.5 mm all reference points, with mean values 0.72 1.02 mm. Conclusion. A very small number have > mm; therefore, criterion provide least placement difficult meet. This increases use auxiliary methods augmentation during immediate

Measuring the thickness of buccal cortical bone of maxillary premolar teeth by cone beam computed tomography technique
Background and Aims: Immediate implant placement following tooth extraction is a treatment with many advantages. Alveolar bone preservation after immediate implant, need minimum of 2 mm thickness in buccal bone plate. The aim of this study was to evaluate the thickness of buccal cortical bone of maxillary premolars by Cone Beam Computational Tomography (CBCT) technique. Materials and Methods: ...
متن کاملEvaluation of neurovascular anatomical variations in maxillary anterior region in cone beam computed tomography images
Introduction: Incisive foramen in the maxilla is the oral terminus of the nasopalatine canal. This region is important in implantology, Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the neurovascular anatomical variations in the maxillary anterior region, observed on cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) images. Materials &Methods: In this cross-sectional study, maxillary CBCT ima...
متن کاملAssessment of buccal bone thickness of aesthetic maxillary region: a cone-beam computed tomography study
PURPOSE The aim of this study was to analyze the anatomical dimensions of the buccal bone walls of the aesthetic maxillary region for immediate implant placement, based upon cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans in a sample of adult patients. METHODS Two calibrated examiners analyzed a sample of 50 CBCT scans, performing morphometric analyses of both incisors and canines on the left and ...

BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to measure the distance between the maxillary premolar and molar teeth apices to the buccal cortical bone and evaluate differences in gender and age group, using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). MATERIAL AND METHODS This retrospective study comprised of 451 premolar and molar teeth of one hundred and thirteen patients who were admitted to Dicle Universi...
متن کاملA cone-beam computed tomography evaluation of buccal bone thickness following maxillary expansion
PURPOSE This study was performed to determine the buccal alveolar bone thickness following rapid maxillary expansion (RME) using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). MATERIALS AND METHODS Twenty-four individuals (15 females, 9 males; 13.9 years) that underwent RME therapy were included. Each patient had CBCT images available before (T1), after (T2), and 2 to 3 years after (T3) maxillary expa...
